Answers to Prayer

Earlier this week when I typed out some concerns, I wrote how on that same day God answered my unspoken prayer in that email, reminding me to not despair, that He is in control. This is His story, along with how we respond and lean or not lean in times like this.

Another answer to prayer was found in The End Time blog, written by a lady that lives near Athens. We follow each other on Twitter, and I was reminded she had made several timely blog posts about current events: (1) would Bill Gates' chip tracking idea actually be the mark of the beast (2) how Christians should respond to conspiracy theories and (3) is covid foreshadowing things to come?

Anna spent this week in Athens.

Kris Medlin posted a cool group photo from the time the Braves wore Crackers uniforms.

Front row: Medlin, Hudson, McCann.
Back row: dunno, dunno, Australian reliever Peter Moylan, dunno, Tommy Hanson.

Hey is Medlin wearing men's dress wingtips?
Back in the 1960's when the St. Louis Cardinals posed for a team picture, catcher Bob Uecker grabbed legendary pitcher Bob Gibson by the hand, bringing a rare smile to the hurler's face (front right).
This week Ceil baked bread using the recipe
from #CookingWithLang's recent video.
This week someone asked Bill Curry what he was saying during this 1968 preseason game in Atlanta. Curry couldn't remember, but was just happy to have hold of the ball. Not sure if Curry was playing center or linebacker in this picture. Is that Johnny Unitas at the far right?

Lots to love in this picture: the huge numbers on the Colts jerseys. The huge squared-off bird cage face mask worn by number 73. A rare photo of the Falcons wearing their banded sleeve jerseys in a game.
Scott Morris posted this old Piedmont Park drawing,
showing locations of the golf course holes.
The railroad that bordered the eastern edge of the park
is now the Atlanta Beltline walking and biking trail.
Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase
"Luke, I am your father."
I'd heard of this tree in Athens, located a few blocks from the UGA campus, and finally saw the tree when visiting Will or Anna a few years ago - located in the middle of the street.
Never heard the backstory until this week.

Was looking for a picture of the Braves late 60's / early 70's road uniforms, and stumbled across another Rico Carty picture. Also stumbled across this photo of the Braves' nickname jerseys. Might've posted it before.
Hadn't posted a Bellwood Coffee advertisement in a while.
Ceil got one of these Bellwood bottles on her last trip.
