More Birthday Pics

Exclusive birthday photos from Anna's celebration with friends,
at Bobby Jones Park, near the Northside Drive golf course and beltline.
ESPN posted a Dream Team for all 30 MLB teams. Lots of rules. I compared the ESPN Braves to beatwriter Mark Bowman’s top Braves. Bowman had Glavine better than Spahn. Got me thinking. Spahn is an all-time great. Bowman used modern analynics in his claim that Glavine was a better lefty. What about Maddux?

At first I thought no way Maddux could compare. But side by side, Mad Dog’s stats stack up against Spahn. I’m sure the fancy stats but Doggy ahead. Who’s a thunk.

C Javy Lopez
1B Freddie Freeman
2B Marcus Giles
SS Rafael Furcal
3B Eddie Mathews
LF Chipper Jones
CF Andrew Jones
RF Hank Aaron
P Warren Spahn

Beat writer Mark Bowman ranked the top five Braves at every position. Kept Chipper at third, ranked ahead of Mathews. Had Rico in left. Bowman ranked Glavine ahead of Spahn based on fancy statisics. Had Johnny Logan and Hall of Famer Rabbit Maranville ahead of Furcal.

I am busy busy busy. Trying to get a lot done but I had to work on into the evening. A rare sight: geese were blocking our street.
Yesterday after work I drove up to Roswell. Got a double burger and fries at Steak n’ Shake. Very good burger. Also stopped by three thrift stores. I’d been looking for a long sleeve dri-fit golf shirt in black or white. Found one in black. Very nice.

Watched the Braves while playing on the computer.
I'd seen this photo before and figured it was a Chargers kicker or punter. Instead it is Doug Flutie, who kept a single bar mask on the bench in case he was called in for duty as San Diego's backup kicker/punter.
