The RAV4 Era Begins

Needing a updated vehicle, after some searching we brought home this 2018 Toyota RAV4 from CarMax in Lithia Springs.

We'd gone out to look at a Honda CRV, but Ceil spied this Toyota and the rest was history. She thinks the black and white seats look like oxford shoes.
We couldn't afford the latest safety features in the Honda. but this RAV4 is loaded with all kinds of extras. Gonne be hard to figure out a bunch of them.
Ceil had wanted a black car, but liked this more visible white model - which was my first choice.
The tailgate opens and closes automatically. Hope no one tries to slam it.

Before you think we're some special for buying a fancy car, be sure to know that we'll be paying for it for five years. Hopefully I'll keep my job that long. Some of the extra features...

While Ceil and Anna like the RAV4, it wasn't really my favorite. Not a fan of the pointy front. It appears smaller than the CRV, which I like. Toyota changes designs too often. Our 2018 is already "obsolete" - Toyota changed the look of the RAV4 last year (below).
I'll inherit Ceil's 2011 CRV, which is getting a little long in the tooth. Matthew is driving my old 2007 Corolla. With luck I'll be able to find a buyer for the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee before it kicks the bucket.

Would be fun to win the rusty old 1966 Buick Special convertible, that these car guys found parked in a back yard for 30 years. Lots of rust, but a restored engine, transmission, brakes, and mag wheels. No top, though. Wonder if the heater works.

She's a looker, isn't she?
