Yesterday I wanted to go home and rest, but worked past 5:45.  Saw I needed air in my tire. Tried QuikTrip but it’s machine wasn’t doing a good job. Instead of battling Holcomb Bridge traffic to another QT, I took Spaulding through Dunwoody to Pitts Road to cross 400 – but the bridge was crossed. Had to take another route to the QT on Roswell Road. Then a car was blocking the air machine. Had to stretch the hose. Also had to stop by the bank and convenience store. Was after 7 pm before I got home.

Got to eat the leftover cheeseburgers and baked beans. Also leftover oatmeal cookies and brownies and ice cream. Good stuff. Watched The Neighborhood and caught up on some laptop stuff.

Up “early” this morning to lift weights. Not sure if the rain is gonna let me get in a round of golf this week.

On 21-Sep-2002, when Brad Ausmus grounded into a double play for the 30th time that season, he tied ERNIE LOMBARDI [SABR Bio] for most GIDP by a NL catcher. Lombardi had 30 in 1938. Ausmus’ day was better remembered because he got his 1,000th career hit. Lombardi was the first catcher to start three consecutive All-Star Games for the National League, in 1938, 1939, 1940. The AL’s Bill Dickey beat him by one year, his string beginning in 1937. Lombardi was slow (list).
