Hooks Hook Bulls

Will’s fall team scored 17 runs for the second straight game, trouncing the Bulls four best pitchers. Three of those four pitchers were Will’s former teammates. The Bulls had barely lost 8-7 last Saturday to Crown, Will’s spring team, in extra innings.

Batting leadoff, Will was the most productive player on his team, either scoring or driving in six of the runs. He also played 5 positions in the 6 inning game (2B, SS, 3B, C, & CF).

Single up the middle in the second, driving in Michael. He then scored from second on an infield error.

Double down the left field line in the fifth. He later scored on a groundout.

Triple over the rightfielder’s head in the sixth, driving in two runs. He scored on a single.

The Hooks sent 16 batters to the plate in the sixth. Thirteen reached base, and eleven runners scored. Will also walked, to lead off the game.

Pitching, Mitch didn’t allow a hit until the fifth inning. It’s tough to play hard against an overmatched opponent, to keep hustling without rubbing it in. Coach Tamucci was holding as many runners at third that he could.
