Weekend

Friday night we hung around home. The kids watched the Phineas & Ferb movie premiere on the Disney Channel. Ceil was working on a project, so I was the first one to bed. I finished my Joel Rosenberg book.

Saturday we got a lot done around the house, cleaning up accumulated piles of “stuff”. We all went over to a friend’s house for a few hours, then we ate at Chipotle. Saw two of Will’s ex-teammates. One is playing “semi-pro” ball while attending Kennesaw.

Saw the Hurts in the parking lot Sunday. Will and I played my new EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Golf game on the Wii. It’s the one with the Augusta National on it. Much harder than regular Wii Golf. Guess I’ll have to practice. Left at 4:30 for PCC. By 5:10 the parking lot was almost full. Joel Norman sat with us, and another of Will’s classmates, Sarah Massey. Louie called bungee jumping an “unnecessary risk.” I agree.

Co-worker Dialysis was sick all weekend, and at the doctor this morning. His son is a running back at Walnut Grove High. Played a bunch last year, but it looks like he’s going to be hurt must of this season.

The new Hawks owner sounded upbeat.

Saw where McLouth will be out 6 weeks. Guess Constanza will keep playing…he batted ninth Friday night. I’m sure Huddy was thrilled. I sometimes get too involved in commenting on the DOB blog. I may actually get Ceil to the Friday Braves game, as well as Matthew. Anna is going with friends.

Will is supposed to go to the game on the 15th, but now he has baseball practice. He’s playing another year of high school ball, both this fall and in the spring. Thursday he has an interview to work at the Indian Hills golf course, where David Norman works. He’s quickly getting himself overcommitted. He registered at Georgia Perimeter Friday morning.

Hopefully in the next two months we’ll have the kitchen renovated. Also some repair/updating in the bathrooms. There is some cracked tiles to fix. I made a long list of everything that needs to get done. Ceil and Will are trying to knock out as much as they can.

Ceil’s dad had “minor” back surgery Monday morning. They’re letting him go home before the pain medication wears off.

Anna’s long-time friend Molly is dancing with the Atlanta Ballet this fall. They rehearse six days a week. Gas for their Suburban will be $700.00 a month, just for the commute back and forth to practice. Anna hasn’t been spending much time with Molly ever since Anna quit ballet. Anna was going to take tap this fall, but her theater company dropped the show Anna was going to try out for, and the good teacher recently left the Eastside Baptist program.
