A tough job. Still not their best work. Based on their own criteria, their rankings don’t make sense. Vandy’s Derek Mason may have beaten Georgia’s Kirby Smart last year, but Georgia’s program is far superior to Vandy’s – even when the Dawgs are down like they were last year. Kirby has a proven track record as an assistant, and is a great recruiter.
Will Muschamp was fired by Florida and had a worse record last year at Carolina than Kirby did at Georgia. Not sure why Muschamp deserves to be ranked ten spots higher than Smart.
Jimbo Fisher shouldn’t be ranked higher than Dabo. Jim Harbaugh may have had some success at Stanford, but he has yet to build a team dominant enough to deserve a number three rating. Bobby Petrino must’ve landed his number ten spot by being good at the X’s and O’s. Here’s part of the list…
