I just discovered another amazing statistic about Herschel Walker: he played in more games than any other running back in pro history. He played 187 NFL games plus 54 more in the USFL. Those 241 games rank 35th in history for non-kickers.
Only four running backs have played in more than 200 pro football games. For some reason this doesn’t include fullbacks.
