Separated at Birth

Separated at birth: Wofford sharpshooter Fletcher Magee and Teen Wolf bad guy Mick McAllister.
Some Auburn fans had picked themselves to lose. I flipped around to several games, and watched a good chunk of the Wofford game. I knew Drew Kelly would be going bonkers, but he stayed low key, probably in an effort to not jinx them.

Supposedly there were some Tech fans on the radio saying they should’ve made the NCAA tournament before Georgia State. Or the announcer was making up that storyline as a for instance, because no Tech fan had cared enough to call in. Not many GT fans are plugged in to sports talk radio. I do see GT fans making comments on AJC.com. Meanwhile, UGA landed another top basketball recruit.

Was watching a NCAA game last night and saw a Bryant Wright advertisement.

I was at WalMart not long ago and saw where they had big full size Easter bunny costumes. Was tempted to get one since they are so creepy.

If Harper signed for $330 million for 13 years, it makes sense that Trout got $420 million for 12 years. Trout is better than Harper. At least now Trout won’t be coming to the National League.

The Athletics and Mariners are playing a series of exhibition games in Japan before playing their regular season opener there later this week. After not playing most of last season, Ichiro has been participating in spring training with the Mariners. During yesterday’s game he threw a strike to third base from right field after catching a fly ball. The Japanese crowd gave him a standing ovation. Knowing last year that his Mariners would open the 2019 season in Japan, Ichiro probably worked it out to play the first series in Japan and then retire. He's still better than many of the outfielders on major league rosters these days.

Not much to report. Left work Monday at 5:45. Ceil was over at her friend’s house until 7:45 so I got myself something to eat. My show The Neighborhood wasn’t on so I turned on The Voice. Went to bed at ten.

Trying to cut back on overtime but with the rejection and five hotshots it took me until almost 6:30 to enter all the orders I needed to enter. If you don’t enter them every day and space them out you get in trouble for hitting the plant with a pile of orders all at one time. On a record pace for the month with no sign of letup, so it is busy. If we break the record we might go to Top Golf or bowling or something. I’d rather golf than bowl.

Leftovers Tuesday. Ceil was busy with schoI’d rather golf than bowl. ol. I made quesadillas. Hilarious episode of The Kids Are All Right, then This Is Us.

Broke down and bought a pair of sneakers on eBay. Had an expiring eBay coupon to use. I had these shoes and loved them but sold them on eBay over a year ago. Was trying to track back to see if I had bought the exact pair that I had sold. We’ll see, but I don’t think so.

Finally got into making up a list of what bobbleheads teams are giving away this year. The Reds and Cardinals have some good ones: Enos Slaughter, Stan Musial, Red Schoendiest. The Clinton Lumber Kings have a Denny McLain bobble.

Read an article where some writers in San Francisco compared KFC, Chickfila, and Popeyes. Sometimes these articles are written in an effort to slam Chickfila because the writers disagree with Chickfila’s owner’s viewpoints. But in this article Chickfila won out in every category, particularly the taste of the chicken and waffle fries.

Wednesday: took Ceil to Pizzeria Lucca. She likes it better than me. She got spicy sausage on her half and I got meatball and sweet red peppers on my half. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and  service was super quick. We were home in time for Final Jeopardy. The nights are running together. Pretty sure we watched The Voice and Schooled, then Last Man Standing and Whiskey Cavalier. Back to the Future actress Lea Thompson wrote last night’s episode of Schooled. M was out studying. It is his spring break but he’s resubmitting all his math tests in the hopes of a better grade. Sounds like the entire class has poor grades so hopefully they’ll grade on the curve.

Anna is in the running to work a summer internship at Delta Airlines, in their marketing department using her graphic arts degree. Comes with flight privileges.

Thursday morning I happened to check traffic on the way to work. Cars were backed up headed to other way. The GPS directed me up Old Alabama to Peachtree Parkway and Pleasant Hill. Saved me a 15 minute backup.

Coworkers talked me into eating lunch at the Chinese Buffet. Good. Ate some of several dishes: orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, meatballs, rice, egg rolls, and more. I could've eaten more, but was glad I didn't. Worked until six. Drove home and crashed on the couch. Ceil grilled chicken tenders, tossed a salad, and made a potato dish with sour cream. Helped with the dishes. Basketball and a Hallmark movie.

Found out last night I get to go to the Braves game this coming Monday night. It's just an exhibition game. Gotta go with some guys from work.

My company's war cry this year is The War on Lead Times. Yesterday we got t-shirts with wrestler Rick Flair on the back. "The Best Going Today - wooo!" Past slogans have been "No Customer Left Behind" and "Show Me Your War Face" and "Keep on Churning Till the Cows Come Home" and "One Step Closer to Domination." Sales manager Shane comes up with the slogans.
