Saturday night dream: had work to finish but left. It was raining big time. Someone was standing next to their car out in the rain. I was looking for a dry table outside a shopping center, then went inside a restaurant / grocery. Crowded. Candy made up the floor. I took a can, opened it, and prepared a dish. I was trying to figure out how to pay. A young David Bartlett was there with his mother. I'd finally decided to just walk out with the dish. Saw one of Will's old teammates, a waiter. Couldn't find the Bartlett's to say goodbye.
Sunday night dream: was at my old office, which was packed with new, young employees. Not sure what kind of work they were going – pets, clothing shelter. Three times as many desks, each with an employee. The VP was the only one I knew, so I walked around with him. I had been on the phone for two hours before that. Truck driver Frank called from Chicago near Comminsky Park, asking if we did business up there. Lots of blankets on my desk. Dunno why.
The men the Masters forgot – the caddies.

As the third QB, last season Jake Fromm was sequestered from the rest of the team in case the other QBs tested positive. Second string QB Matt Barkley is a free agent – will he be re-signed, or will Fromm get the nod?

BIRDIE TEBBETTS [SABR Bio] was knocked out by a basket of produce thrown from the upper deck during the Tigers-Indians game. Tebbetts was not in the game but in the bullpen on 27-Sep-1940 when a fan, wanting to hide tomatoes, eggs, etc., from stadium police who were combing the stands for unruly fans throwing things, filled a basket with the garbage and threw it over a railing. It landed on Tebbetts' head and knocked him cold. When the police identified the culprit to Tebbetts he said he would handle the matter himself—and busted the fan in the nose. When Bob Feller struck out eighteen in a single game, only he and one other teammate escaped the dreaded K. On 02-Oct-1938(1) Detroit came to play Cleveland. Ace Bob Feller racked up 18 strikeouts, breaking his own Tribe 1-G record set 2 years earlier. Roy Cullenbine and Tebbetts not only did not strike out but they were mostly responsible for the Tiger victory that day. Tebbetts was the first native of his state to receive a Hall of Fame vote. Born in Vermont (although he spent most of his years growing up in neighboring New Hampshire) , he received eight HOF votes in 1958 - and another single vote in 1960.

Long Day
My dad was moved to rehab this afternoon. I drove down this AM and it's been a busy day. He's weak and has a long way to go. Drove home tonight.
