Top Players Under 25

MLB Network’s top players under 25. I’ve never heard of most of these guys, but I just follow the Braves, not MLB. No way MLB puts Acuna in the top spot.

Tatis leads all shortstops in errors. Some say its because he’s playing hurt. MLB tweets out lots of his highlights, like an above average defensive play this past week. Thing is Dansby makes the same exact play (or better) several times a week, without getting the same publicity as Tatis. Speaking of popularity contests, the voting for the All Star Game has started, and it will probably be a popularity contest.  Will be hard for Dansby, Riley, Albies, Fried, and even Freeman to make the team.

Pache was ranked higher on their February list, until he actually started playing major league games. Anderson and Riley have moved up the charts, and for some reason Albies has dropped out of the top ten. Guess he’s lost some luster since becoming a known commodity. Drew Waters will make the list once he is called up, and I’m sure young catcher Contreras is knocking at the door as well. That’s eight Braves players. Plus that catcher Langolears is tearing it up in Rome. Hard to believe Max Fried is 27.

With Acuna, Guererro, Tatis, and others leading the majors in home runs, its easy to wonder which of these players will have the youngest career. Several are already suffering from nagging injuries. It wasn’t long ago phenoms like Prince Felder were the young media darlings, shining bright for a relatively brief period before fading completely out of baseball. Will any of these youngsters fade quickly? We shall see.

Winnie keeps me busy. Plus got a decent amount of work done on Monday. Got several more orders to enter this afternoon. I try to take Winnie outside every hour. When I kick a sweetgum ball down the driveway she likes to chase it. She sat in my lap last night when I drove  to Domino’s Pizza. She liked it when I rolled down the window. Couldn’t let her get too close to jumping out.

Had to take Winnie out at 2 am this morning. Wanted to sleep until 730 or 745 am but she woke me up at 700.  She will go and go and go, then come in and crash on the floor.

Watched Jeopardy and Seinfeld. Too many family members were watching Netflix.

Would be nice if both the Braves and Hawks could beat the Phillies and Sixers tonight.
