Okay it is March 1st and I went to the gym this AM before work. Need to make it an every day habit. Tomorrow morning I’m walking nine holes (two miles). Back in the office today. I would never lose weight working from home.
Got the results of the Big Boom contest for February, which my team is not a part of. Other people handling large accounts are. We did have a huge February, to go with a huge January. No more monthly lunch meetings, no year-end celebration dinners, no cakes to celebrate good months. People would rather work from home. We are busier than ever.
Grace is one of my favorite words. Need to live like that, and be more thankful and positive. I have a little note taped on my computer: “mercy before judgement”.
On the way home from church Sunday Ceil needed to stop by CVS. We drove past Willy’s and saw JFBC pastor Clay Smith in line. On the drive home I kept thinking of things I could’ve said to him had we joined him in line, about the sermon, etc.
Late yesterday afternoon I noticed a big pickup and trailer was packed blocking my driveway. They must’ve hit my neighbor’s mailbox, and they were working to fix it. The truck was running. Forty minutes later I couldn’t wait any longer, so I went out, got in my car, and backed up the driveway toward the truck. The workers got the message, and moved the truck.
Ran an errand before small group. Also grabbed a McDonalds chicken sandwich and large Coke Zero for a dollar. Good small group session, with all six in attendance. For some reason these past few days I’ve been feeling blue. Lots of stuff going on. I’ve been on the go.
DON LARSEN [SABR Bio] allowed the fewest hits in a complete World Series game. He not only didn’t give up a hit, he didn’t allow a single batter to reach first base…the only perfect game in World Series play. He was later traded for the most famous hitter produced by North Dakota. On 11-Dec-1959, Larsen was traded by the Yankees with Hank Bauer, Norm Siebern, & Marv Throneberry to Kansas City for Joe DeMaestri, Kent Hadley, & Roger Maris, who, although born in Minnesota (Hibbing), grew up in North Dakota (Fargo).
