I bought the Riley jersey – the Stripers version. Gwinnett Stripers – Saturday evening’s game - I have two box seat tickets next to the Memphis dugout. Might wear a Grizzlies shirt.
Thursday night we’ll be at the Taqueria on Cheshire Bridge to celebrate Anna’s birthday. I’m sure it will be 6 pm or later though. Everyone except Matthew will be there – including granddaughter Shivonne.
I’d rather eat at a restaurant than get takeout. The food always seems better. Got a Red Robin burger to go last night. It was good, but would’ve been better there at the store.
Super busy at work, with a coworker on vacation. He’s paying me back for me taking off two weeks so far this summer.

Some fans are saying it’s racist for the Braves give only $80 million to Michael Harris after only a couple of months in the bigs. Riley played 4 years before earning a big contract, and Olson 6 years. The Braves are overpaying the first five years when Harris (and Albies and Acuna) would’ve been making close to then league minimum and then three years of arbritration. Depending on how Harris plays, they could be overpaying on the back end of the contract as well.
Both Acuna and Albies have missed long stretches due to injury, but still are earning tons more than most good players their age. They gave Ozuna a big contract as well, then he missed a big chunk of last season, and hasn’t been nowhere near the same player he was in 2020. Riley had been paid close to the minimum these past four years before signing his contract a couple of months ago. I’m sure Riley or Olson or Dansby would’ve leapt to have signed as young as Harris, Acuna, and Albies.

But half that number—47 percent—have taken the most basic step in response to "faith" by joining a church, synagogue, or mosque. Only 47% of Americans believe abortion is morally acceptable, but 72% say "the decision about whether to have an abortion should belong solely to the pregnant woman." If I told you I believed in medicine but refused to see a doctor, or claimed I have full confidence in air travel but refused to step onto an airplane, you might note a "dissonance between stated belief and practiced reality."
