I always liked Namath (still do). Starr was in the top 15 of the top 25 link I sent, but Joe Willie did not make the top 25. Some don’t think he should’ve made the hall of fame. He made it more for the impact he made than his actual playing performance.

Questions to ask yourself when you notice repetitive thoughts:
1. Is it Kind? If you said it to a friend, they would still want to be your friend.
2. Is it helpful? There are some things in life that are true, but not helpful.
3. Is it true? One of the greatest mistakes you can make is assuming that all your thoughts are true.
If you can’t say yes to all three, you are overthinking.
All I received was this rough outline. I’m sure his sermon was filled with Biblical references and stories.
David Hurt went over to visit the Giles in Alabama on Saturday.
Friday night we had spaghetti. Busy day Saturday. Early AM golf out in the cold. Drove straight home. Apple pie and ice cream for breakfast. Lunch at Red Curry with three friends. Home to do some housework and laundry. Watched golf while folding clothes. A 10000 step day.
Fun party Saturday night at Reid & Noelle’s. Big crowd. A&C. W&MC and Shivonne. Matthew hung out with Nathan and Andrew. Earharts, Chiles, Watkins, Mayfields, Chos, Cushings, Gilberts, Schaefers. Mary Hurt and Becky Norman. MC’s siblings and their spouses. Caleb’s sister and brother-in-law. About 36 in all. Lots of food: Mexican fixings from El Porton. Key lime pie, a big cake, and a chocolate dish for dessert.
Went to bed when I got home (after ten) and slept until 8:45 am. Even then I was still exhausted from Saturday, but I didn’t get much rest. Sunday School and worship. Home for leftover Mexican leftovers, which M ate with us. Then shopping at The Avenue East Cobb.
Took Ceil’s car to get the oil changed. Dropped it off and went to the waiting room and waited. And waited. Well over an hour, and mine was the only car in the shop. Finally the young man came over and said there was a problem. There hadn’t been a problem before they started working on it. Then he went back to the shop. It was getting close to closing time. I went out and asked what his plan was. He said I needed to take it back to who had done the last oil change (they were closed). I wasn’t happy. I could see these guys weren’t very competent. Making them fix it wasn’t a good option. Neither was taking it to the other place. I dropped it off at a place I trust. It’ got fixed today.
Was 6 pm when I got home. Hadn’t rested all day. Watched the end of the golf tourney. Went to bed at 9:30.
Meanwhile C is headed to SC. She had to take my car.
Lifted weights at the gym this morning. Small group tonight.
DAVID JUSTICE [SABR Bio] was NL ROY in 1990 and ALCS MVP in 2000. In a speech in 2005, NY GM Brian Cashman rightly gave Justice credit for the extra boost he provided in their winning the 2000 AL pennant. From June 30th on, Justice slashed an impressive .306/.391/.586 with 20 HR & 60 RBI in just 275 AB. ATL was about to trade popular star Dale Murphy and needed power in the outfield. Justice, who had been brought up earlier, was moved from 1B to RF and helped them reach the World Series the very next year.
