Tuesday: worked until 5:30. Stopped by RaceTrac for gas, then Wendys for a BOGO burger. Made it home after 6:45. Was going to cut the grass, but C called from her women's ministry – W&MC wanted us to come get Shivonne. We drove down. Shiv was taking a bath, but she wanted to see everyone who entered. She still had a fever so W didn't want MC to get sick. MC's brother Thomas and wife Holly were there eating pizza with them. On the way home Shiv was fussy due to not feeling well. Got home at 9:30. Took S a while to get to sleep. Me and Winnie slept on the couch. I had a real good sleep, as I hadn't been feeling great either.
Wednesday morning I skipped the gym to get some extra rest. Thought caffeine would help (like your coffee and Advil remedy) so I stopped by a different RaceTrac for a diet Mtn Dew, since the diet Mtn Dew at the Peachtree Industrial RaceTrac has been out of order for two months now. But the diet Mtn Dew at this Peachtree Parkway RaceTrac wasn't working either. What do I have to do?
Worked past 6 pm Wednesday. Drove straight home. Pretty much hopped in the other car with C and Shiv. Home Depot then Chickfila. Popular place. C got a salad and Shiv a kids meal. Back home I made me a quesadilla out of leftover ground beef. Took out the trash and helped clean up a bit, then it was past bedtime.
Thursday: worked past 5:30 and drove straight home. Played with Shivonne while C cooked supper. Then I drove them to Old Navy and Whole Foods. Met up with my friend Lee, who was wearing the same shirt as me. Back home for spaghetti and meatballs. After Shiv went to bed, C turned on the TV. I just went to sleep. Woke up and C had gone to bed. So tired I forgot to make my daily blog post.
Ran at the gym Friday morning. Forgot my belt (needed since I've lost weight). Had to use the shoulder strap from an old camcorder case in my car as my belt. Crazy John brought in chocolate cake. Nobody wanted the first piece because they weren't sure they trusted him.
Cool story about throwing out the first pitch at a MLB game (and meeting Keith Hernandez). That's on my bucket list. I think Chevrolet is currently running a sweepstakes with a grand prize to throw out the first pitch at a World Series game. Before gave 5 of the 2021 Braves / Astros World Series there were one or two "regular people" who threw a first pitch, 20-30 minutes before the game. Then right before game time Greg Maddux threw out the "real" first pitch.
From what I've observed a Braves ball boy has been catching the first pitch in the past few years, though if a popular former player throws out the first pitch, a current player will leap at the chance to be the catcher. Once former Brave John Smoltz had been critical of the team on a national broadcast, so when Smoltz threw out the first pitch no player would catch him. A ball boy was given the duty.
CLICKBAIT SLIDESHOW: most underrated attractions in each state, including Providence Canyon in Georgia. Not sure how Ruby Falls is considered "underrated". Guess the Yankee city-dweller who wrote the article hasn't driven on a southern interstate, passing scores of SEE ROCK CITY barns and billboards.
Atlanta has its own summer college baseball league, with teams playing at Oglethorpe, Georgia State, Kennesaw, Alpharetta, Columbus, and Gainesville. Micah Owings coaches the Gainesville Gold Diggers, and I need to see them play.

CESAR TOVAR [SABR Bio] played at least 200 games at each of 5 different positions during his MLB career - at each outfield position, plus 200+ more each at 3B and 2B. Although he was never named an All-Star, he did receive MVP votes in five straight seasons, from 1967-1971. In one game, he played all nine positions, starting on the mound. The first batter he faced had played all nine positions in one game three years earlier. Tovar did his on 22-Sep-1968 and got Bert Campaneris to pop out for the game's first out. Campy played all 9 on 08-Sep-1965.
