Poor Man's Air Force One?

Picked up an all white leather pair of Nike Court Vision Low, kind of a poor man’s Air Force One.

I’d seen a bunch of white leather Nikes around town lately, and decided to grab a pair. Should’ve waited to find a pair of AF1’s.

Passed on a cool pair of all black adidas Propheres.

I did sell a pair of blue adidas sneakers this week, for just about the same price I paid for those Nikes. So there.

Monday: worked until about 430 then left to drive downtown. Traffic was “lighter” than usual so the GPS routed me all the way down past GT to the Williams Street exit, right on Ivan Allen all the way to Northside, then MLK to W&MC’s house. Stopped by Zaxbys for my three free birthday cookies as a snack. Ravioli for supper. Had the girls in bed by 8 pm and crashed on the couch. Fell asleep and later went to bed at 10 pm.

Tuesday: slept till 545. Was at Candler Park by 620. Teed off at 639 am. I played better, but its easier when you play 3 or 4 balls. I lost my share of golf balls, but may have found just as many.

1. Drives off tee felt good. Hit 2 balls and found three. Approach stayed left. Hit two chips over the green. Hit fur okay chips back. Two putt for “double”.

2. One flub, one decent 7 iron that was list in the high grass. Two chips to the far side of the green. A good lag putt. “Bogey”.

3. Hit a worm burner that got a good roll. Also an 8 iron that stayed left. Hit 4 okay chips. Sank a 23 foot putt a “par”.

4. Hit one left, one straight but short, and one right. Hit three wedges, all to the back fringe. Hit one good lag putt out of four. “Double?”.

5. Hit an okay 6 iron, low and short with a decent roll. Hit three chips onto the green: one far away, one decent, and one close. Hit a great long lag putt. Also sank the “par” putt.

6. Hit three cruddy hybrids off the tee. Two rolled within one foot of each other. Hit three fairway hybrids: one not great, two halfway decent. Chipped four times: two onto the green, two just short. Two putt for “bogey”.

7. Hit two drives, both rolled most of the way up the hill. I was past the trees where I pull out my 3 iron, but decided to hit it anyway. Hit both pretty good. The first curved left, the second went straight. That might’ve been the one I couldn’t find. Chipped onto the green. Hit one okay lag putt, but couldn’t sink the bogey putt. “Double”.

8. Hit two pretty good drives, one further than usual. Chipped one to the front fringe, one to the back fringe. Two putt for a good “par”.

9. Popped up my hybrid. Then hit three wedge shots. All three were left, but one stayed on the fringe. Lagged it close, then sank the “bogey” putt.

Stopped by Dollar Tree for a pack of cookies. There was a lady with a basket on the cookie aisle, so I walked down the next aisle and came back up the cookie aisle. Then she was up at the front, ready to check out with 4 or 5 items. She was going to let me go first with my one item, but I gently insisted she go first. She paid for my cookies!

Made it to work by 920 to find an emergency to handle. Since I had arrived late, I stayed at work trying to resolve a couple of issues. Left out at 605 and stopped by RaceTrac and Wendys. Traffic wasn’t horrendous. Took Peachtree Industrial to 285 east to 85 south to 20 west.

C had promised Shiv ice cream, but they had to go to a school meeting from 430-630. So it was a long day for Shiv without much rest. But in general after that it was a “normal” evening.

Not too long after the girls had gone to bed, we heard a big racket in their room. Millie had dropped her pacifier and it rolled underneath her baby bed. Shivonne got her flashlight and went crawling underneath the baby bed to retrieve it – but got her big tummy stuck. She didn’t think it was funny.

Wednesday: alarm went off at 530. Took Winnie and drove back to East Cobb, arriving at 615. Took her for a short walk, got the mail, took out the trash, took a shower, and drove to work. For lunch I ate a chicken salad sandwich, on croissant with lettuce & tomato, from Honey Baked Ham. Another birthday deal.
