Super Bowl – the Eagles dominated, and it could’ve been even worse considering how many field goals they kicked. Guess Philly quit having to go for it on fourth down since they were winning so bad, so none of those field goals could have been TD’s instead. QB Hurts deserved the MVP.
Poor KC kicker Harrison Butker didn’t score, did he? The Chiefs went for two every time they scored.
The Eagles dominated the Super Bowl like only a handful of teams in the last 60 years. They say no team has won three straight Super Bowls, but the Packers won the first two Super Bowls, and also won the NFL Championship the year before the first Super Bowl.
The experts are already wondering if the 19-2 Chiefs need to gut their team and start over. What idiots. Glad I don’t have the time to listen to all that crap every day.
Best commercial was Harrison Ford’s Jeep commercial. I was a little surprised that Ceil nodded off in the second half. Then she went to bed before the game was over. There was an app that gave away $10,000 to 120 different people at the end of the game, so I stayed up for that. Kia was giving away 4 cars and another app gave away $1 million. Not my night.
Not only does the Animal Network put on the Puppy Bowl, but evidently before the Puppy Bowl there is an hour long Puppy Bowl pregame show. Not sure what they talk about. The Super Bowl pregame show was on when we got home from church. I liked the song Lady Gaga sang down in the middle of Bourbon Street. At the end of the song the Fox pregame crew walked onstage to surround her: Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Tom Brady.
Former Falcons QB Michael Vick is now the head coach at Norfolk State University.
Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders says he doesn’t wear Air Jordans. He just wears his dad’s Nike sneakers. Rumor is that the Raiders won’t be taking Shedeur with the number one overall pick. Some think he may drop deep in the first round and maybe into the second.
We grabbed Chipotle after church. Later C went to Whole Foods and brought back wings for the game. We’ve eaten wings less than 5 times in 37 years of marriage. Them I gassed up her car and folded laundry.
During the pregame and first half I cleaned out email and caught up on entering sweepstakes. I had been two weeks behind. Every day I receive an email with 5-10 new sweepstakes. I enter the ones for cash, cars, coolers, and some trips. Kind of like a hobby of mine.
During the third quarter I updated my blog and then checked my work email. My back has been aching.
I saw where Tiger was playing this next weekend. The tourney had to be moved to Torrey Pines. Isn’t Tiger like the host of the tourney? I didn’t see anyone wearing red yesterday at the Waste Management Open, to honor Tiger’s mom.
I looked up Rory’s indoor golf team, the Boston Common. Their cap is green with a frog logo. I will stick to being a fan of Tiger’s Jupiter team. Cool name and logo.
Sounds like the government is going to phase out the penny. Matthew had left his huge jug of pennies when he moved out, and I’m brought back hundreds of pennies from Ceil’s parent’s house as well. For the past couple of years I’ve been trying to spend them ten at a time, and have gotten rid of hundreds that way. But now I think I’ll hold onto the rest of my pennies for the time being. I also have at last a dozen old wheat pennies stashed away.
Did you know? When they filmed The Empire Strikes Back, Mark Hamill was sworn to secrecy about Darth Vader’s “Luke, I am your father” line. Fellow actors Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher didn’t find out until the film was released a year later. Fisher was livid. Ford grinned and quipped “Well played”. Article: Star Wars Cast Didn't Know About 'I Am Your Father' Scene Until the Movie Was Out.
