After a rough week last week, I was ready for a restful weekend to recharge. Friday C had been on the go all day, so she picked up a frozen stir dry dish from Trader Joes, and added grilled organic chicken. Ceil likes her organic food. Adds good seasonings. I just eat what's put in front of me. Often put BBQ sauce on the leftovers.
Watched a good movie "The Secret: Dare to Dream", loosely based on the self-help book, which was loosely based on Matthew 21:22. Stars Katie Holmes.
Saturday I stayed upstairs until noon, reading and cleaning. Watched parts of all three NFL games. Colts missed out on several scores. Should've kicked a field goal on fourth down. Later a Colt field goal attempt doinked off the goal post. They missed one two point conversion but made another. Could've been 30-27 Colts.
Cleaned in the kitchen and did laundry. Ceil cleaned the bathrooms. Later we went to Perimeter Mall. Hated going inside the mall. Had to return something. When I finished I headed toward the sneaker store, but hated being there so much that I turned around, and went to an isolated area. Split a chicken sandwich and small fries at Moxie Burger in Roswell. Moxie Burger had taken half their tables out, so we ate in a booth not near anyone. They were getting lots of takeout business but not much eat in.

Online Sunday School. A lady in our class just moved to East Cobb from the Middle East. Her husband works on the worldwide broadcast for Church of the Apostles. Their 17-year old had covid, but is almost recovered. Ceil drove down to see Anna. I popped corn and watched an Italian movie, "A Five Star Life", about a lady who reviewed service at 5-star hotels. Nice gig, but she finally realizes all she's missing out on. In Italian with subtitles.
W&MC took an anniversary trip to Dallas to visit friends. They flew out of Love Field. Anna found a bulldog wandering around and put it in W&MC's fenced in backyard. They couldn't find the owner yet. The bulldog was happy. Surprised C didn't bring it home.
JOHN KRUK [SABR Bio] famously got his tower buzzed in the All-Star game by a certain Hall of Fame pitcher. In the 1993 ASG, Kruk stood in to face Randy Johnson. Johnson lost control on the first pitch and a fastball went flying 5' over Kruk's head. For the rest of the at-bat, Kruk stood so far away from the plate that Johnson struck him out easily. Kruk opened a bar called Third Base because it is, "… the last stop before you go home." Actually titled "3B", he opened it in his home state of West Virginia. He learned to hit to the opposite field in his backyard so the baseball wouldn't go into his mother's vegetable garden. Grew up in Keyser, West Virginia, a suburb of Cumberland, MD. He practiced hitting every chance he got but learned how to place his hits. Only once in his ten-year MLB career did his OPS+ rating fall below 110. A hypothetical major league player in the same years has an OPS+ of 100. His highest OPS+ was the 150 he put together in 1992 to go along with his .323 batting average.
