The Taylor Swift Post

I won’t be going to the Taylor Swift concert, though it would be fun. Yes a tough ticket that Anna and her friends had been working to get. Swift had sold out so many shows, so she added more in several cities. She is the first singer to have songs occupy spots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 on the Top Ten Chart at the same time.

Did you watch the two basketball games last night? Dick Vitale said playing a full week before Thanksgiving was a little early for college basketball.

If UGA remains number one after the SEC championship game, they will be able to play their playoff semifinal “at home” in Mercedes Benz Stadium.

GT QB Jeff Simms appears to be out for the season. So is another GT QB. Gonna be a tough two weeks against UNC and UGA. Tennessee will be wearing orange helmets this weekend, for the first time in decades. White. Orange. Black. Grey. Different costume every week for those Vols.

The Mets lost out to the Braves for the NL East championship, but Mets manager Buck Showalter was named NL manager of the year. Perhaps the press thinks that any manager that can turn the Mets into a winner should be named manager of the year. I still say that since the award is voted for after the regular season, that Brian Snitker should’ve won manager of the year.

The Braves have announced some of their 2023 promotions: Chains: Acuna, Albies, and Contreras. Bobbleheads: Matt Olsen (GA), Austin Riley (Miss), Kyle Wright (AL), and Michael Harris (ROY). I could’ve told you those bobbleheads. Strider will also have a bobblehead.

680 the Fan’s morning show: one bad take after another. “Just put it on the credit card and worry about it later” is about the worst advice ever.

Ran 4.25 miles this morning. Worked from home to keep Winnie company, but C took Winnie to the vet for a bath. I’d arranged to meet a friend later, so I couldn’t go to the office. A&C are coming for dinner tomorrow so I won’t be able to work late. I’ve had computer problems all morning. It’s always something. Got to help Shreveport and the program group and the fab team, which takes away from doing my job.

'Tiger just goes, "Stop"': A pro shared the wild prelude to an iconic Tiger Woods shot.

GARY SHEFFIELD [B-R Bio] his bat speed put a lump in the throats of many major league pitchers. Sheffield’s batting stance waggle itself was something to behold. He explains. He was the first player to hit a home run in a 1-0 game three times in a season. On 02-Apr-, 07-May- & 12-May-2001, Sheffield won the game for the LAD with a solo home run that constituted all the scoring in each game. His uncle Dwight Gooden won the Cy Young Award unanimously in 1985. Sheffield hit at least 25 home runs for each of six major league teams.

43 HR for LAD in 2000;

42 HR for FLA in 1996;

39 HR for ATL in 2003;

36 HR or NYY in 2004;

33 HR for SDP in 1992; &

25 HR for DET in 2007.

There are a few people I nod to at the gym. I speak to some of the employees, but rarely to another patron. I will speak to my other friend Reid when he is there, but I don’t really know anyone else.

Reading a book on Elvis, Ali, and Lennon. In his 30's the King suffered a concussion when he passed out and bashed his forehead on a bathtub, an undiagnosed injury that altered the workings of his internal organs that eventually led to his death years later. Preseley, a distant cousin of Jimmy Carter, starred in the last movie Mary Tyler Moore appeared in before Moore joined the sitcom bearing her name. Ed Asner also appeared in the movie.
