We had our normally busy weekend. Friday I cut grass and blew the drive, missing most of JJ’s gem.
Saturday I drove downtown and ran errands (library/goodwill/Slopes). Cleaned all afternoon. Aside from Sunday night Willys, Ceil made a point to cook at home: BBQ, lasagna, and cobbler. Now we have lots of leftovers.
Sunday we all went to the 11 am service. Napped Sunday afternoon while others shopped.
No rest after the race Monday, as we learned MC’s whole family was coming for dinner and fireworks. Cleaned and ran to Kroger twice. Will grilled dogs and burgers, and we had more homemade peach ice cream. We did get a few electrical switches and plugs installed, and Will installed a new bathroom faucet.
Ceil didn’t take will back to Ellijay until after 5:30 yesterday. Anna and MC went along for the ride. For some reason they didn’t get home until 12:15. Ceil never answers her phone or reports in, causing several a great deal of worry. I finally got some rest…I’m still pretty sore from Monday.
Looking forward to seeing Larry Crown. PluggedInOnLine had a good review. Also the Adjustment Bureau and Source Code.
Outliers sounds interesting and on the mark, as does Gladwell’s first two books. I’ll add them to my list. I’ve read enough about the Kennedy Assassination, but couldn’t resist buying “Plausible Denial: Was the CIA Involved in the Assassination of JFK.”
Freeman hit another HR Monday night. Hanson got another win and lowered his ERA closer to 2.00. Kimbrell did tie the rookie record for most saves by the All-Star game. We’ll see if either are put on the All Star roster.
