In the past I’ve made a list of places I have visited. There’s a new Nike commercial called SNOW DAY where a bunch of athletes come out to play in the snow. Miss Della Donne is in the commercial. Also Ben Roethlisberger, Marcus Mariota, and the defensive tackle for the Texans (JJ Watt). Lots of other football players and a few women’s soccer players. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2P5E7cFt9s&sns=em
All the experts are saying the Braves made out great in the Shelby trade. Most would’ve taken any two of the three players they received. Dansby will make fans forget about Andrelton. Swanson’s family are friends with my Braves friend Johnny Pierce, the guy who knows Charles Qualls. After last year Shelby might still be suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome. He might not have ever been successful in Atlanta.
Tech is going to have a tougher time winning their division, with all the coaching upgrades in the Coastal. It used to be one of the worst division in college football but now every team has a quality coach. UNC went 11-2, earning their coach an extension. UVA hired Bronco Mendenhall. Duke has David Cutcliff. Miami hired the 8th winningest coach in the country. Pitt only gets better. GT has Paul Johnson. Clemson and FSU have it easier in the Atlantic Division with Syracuse, NC State, and Wake Forest.
I loved watching Texas beat Baylor. Like many losing teams, the Longhorns don’t have a good QB. Missouri and SC got new coaches, but hopefully they’ll stay down. I love Iowa States uniforms. They have several sets and they all look good. I worked on the bowl picks but still have a lot of work to do. First bowl is a week from Saturday.
Tuesday: left work at six but didn’t get home until 7:15. Had to unload all the giveaway stuff at Goodwill. There was a line at the first Goodwill on the way home so I went to the second. While there I bought a nice grey Under Armour long sleeve tee. Ceil cooked spaghetti and meatballs and chopped carrots. She was working on the wedding. Watched Jeopardy and The View and Seinfeld. Tonight Dolly Parton is singing on The View. Cleaned the kitchen.
Wednesday: another long evening. Got involved in something at work and didn’t leave until 6:20. Stopped by a couple of stores then made it up to pick up M in Cumming before 8. Drove him thru Taco Bell and made it home before nine. C cooked a boneless chicken breast, mac & cheese, and salad. The Voice was on. Sold a bobblehead for $200.00 - and could’ve gotten more.
Grisham has a new book out, but the library doesn’t have any on CD yet. I need to make a list of all the books I got from my friend: Koufax, Berra, Mariano Rivera, Pete Van Wieren, many more.
Wednesday is the Hot Stove meeting up in Cumming. Should be lots of Braves talk with all the trades and signings. There is a “cap exchange” so I brought two Braves caps to trade.
Sounds like Bruce is sick again – that same thing he suffered from a few years ago.
