Saturday afternoon I headed out to Gwinnett for the Rio Ruiz Superhero Bobblehead Night. After ending Friday evening parched I consumed four 20 ounce bottled of Vitamin Water between 2:30 and five.
Plenty of familiar faces in line: LJ, Jonathan and wife Corinne, old Hugh, Johnny Tallant and his brood of grandchildren, Michael, the Coach,
Ginger and her family, Bobby and his mother, and others.
Evidently young third-sacker Ruiz made a catch diving into the stands last year. The giveaway came just hours after Rio connected on a walk-off game-winning RBI single in Friday night's Atlanta Braves game.
Top Braves' prospect Lucas Sims pitched five innings of no hit ball,
and Jace Peterson, Sean Kazmar, and company
cruised to a 9-0 win over the Charlotte Knights.
LJ and I did some exploring, checking out the team store, beating the heat in the shade of the big white tent in left field, checking out the view from the berm in straightaway centerfield, and watching from a stand up table behind the plate. Fueled up on more Vitamin Water on the way home.and Jace Peterson, Sean Kazmar, and company
cruised to a 9-0 win over the Charlotte Knights.
Earlier in the day my quest was to find a bike so I can ride with Ceil.
Found a used bike shop near the Mayfield Dairy in Marietta,
and secured the LandRider auto-shift Comfort Rider bike.
Loved by some but scoffed at by purists, lets hope it fits the bill.
Bicycles'N More.Check them out.
Swung by the newly refurbished Big Chicken, now open for business.
