Just finished the novel “The Friends”, by Sigrid Nunez. A woman and her dog story. I am no expert, but it seemed like a Hemingway novel to me. I give it a B. Next up: John Grisham’s Camino Ghosts, the third in the series.
Can’t believe the Dream beat the Fever. Caitlin Clark is on the cover of the new issue of SLAM magazine.
She's also on the cover of this other less successful magazine that's evidently still in circulation.
Not sure when the Braves will call up reliever Craig Kimbrel from Gwinnett.
He had started the season in Columbus. Like all Stripers, he wears a lot of uniforms.
Sold my Nike Space Hippies. Hate to see them go, but man I have way too many sneakers. I have a bunch up for sale, and need to put more up for sale. The older I get, the more I stick to just a few pairs of shoes.
Worked past 530 last night, then stopped by Cheeseburger Bobby’s for supper. They keep sending me free burger coupons almost every month. Might stop by Zaxbys – they have $2.50 milkshakes.
Ceil had her final art class last night at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I went home and crashed. Watched the last two episodes of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Went into my office to work on my laptop, finishing the second round of applications to work at the All Star Game in July. May be able to work at the MLB Draft and the Red Carpet, where all the all stars dress up and arrive with their families. The fanfest will be across 285 at the Galleria.
Up early to hit the gym. Another busy morning at work. Sounds like we may eat at Longhorn Steakhouse for lunch tomorrow. Guess I’ll get the steamed broccoli again.
The director of the World Health Organization said “To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism, and religious dogmas”. Is he the antichrist?
Greatest Washington Husky? Don't sleep on QB Sonny Sixkiller. Made the cover of Sports illustrated.
