Dawgs Edge Clemson

UGA edged Clemson 10-3. Dawgs missed a field goal, and could've booted another at the end. Could've been 16-3. QB DJ was sacked seven times and barely completed 50% of his passes, throwing 18 incompletions. Clemson only gained two yards rushing.

Zeus had a decent game,
saving most of his yards for the fourth quarter.
Defensive lineman Nolan Smith was a force.
Neither defense allowed a touchdown. As some predicted, the difference was a key mistake / turnover - a pick six by Georgia.

As I feared, Tech lost their season opener against Northern Illinois,
who failed to win a game last year.
It wasn't pretty. Fans were able to socially distance at Grant Field.
GT QB Sims had a bad game before being hurt.
Backup Yates showed promise.
Tech's running game was working, but every time the Jackets got inside the 5 yard line, they tried to pass. They missed three field goals. Many fans aren't happy. Some are still delusional. Tech can't afford to fire Collins this year. Things probably won't get better until at least 2023. I wish they'd dial back on all the hype, because that's all it is.
Will attended the Oklahoma / Tulane game in Norman.
As I suspected, Miami proved to be no match for Bama.
Clemson and Georgia have work to do to compete.
#10 UNC got upset by lowly Virginia Tech. Many experts pegged NC QB Sam Howell as the Heisman frontrunner. in the past two seasons he hasn't given me any indication of why. Sam threw three interceptions, and his 41.1 QBR ranked 65th. Maybe Tech can beat the Heels.

As Corso and Herbstreit predicted, UCLA beat LSU.
