Big Trucks

Working from home Friday coincided with the road-paving project in my neighborhood. Lots of noise. They were gone by noon, but still have a long way to go before they’re finished.

EARLY WYNN  [SABR Bio] was a switch-hitting pitcher. He won the Cy Young Award only once in his 23-year career, in his 19th season. It was the only time he ever got even a single vote for the award. Played 1939, 1941-44, 46-63. CYA in 1959, leading his CHW to the WS. He was nine times an All-Star and received MVP votes eight times. Link to his playing history. He was the first pitcher to face the expansion Washington Senators.

Pitchers with seasons of multiple home runs and greater than a .300 batting average, expansion era. Additional pitchers meeting criteria are Zach Duke and Eddie Watt (Brooks Kieschnick in 2003 is not counted, as he was a two-way player).

Do they make my feet look too big?
