The Adventures of Winnie the Dog

While we were at W&MC’s Sunday night Winnie had eaten a box of Cliff bars, and got into a bag of rolls and hid them like bones in various places: the couch, a chair, etc. When I took her outside before bed she normally just sniffs around, but instead did her business. Then at 3 am she had to go outside again. Lots of times she just wants to look for the cat, so I held her as we went down the stairs. Sure enough the cat was down on the couch, but Winnie didn’t see him as we walked past to the back door. Winnie was looking around while I put on her leash. After quickly doing her business (twice) when we went inside the cat scrambled away.

Last night Winnie had to go outside again. Pretty much the same story with the cat. I hope this won’t become an every night thing.

Monday: worked past 6:15 trying to catch up. Got one project done, but have at least eight more projects to do, of various sizes. Drove home and straightened up a little. Winnie was sitting next to me on the couch. She had found a hole in a pillow, and had the stuffing pulled out making a mess. When we made a big deal about it, she banished herself to her crate.

Supper was a new Mexican style skillet dish, with chicken and rice in a sour cream sauce. Very good. Also rice and black beans. Matthew ate with us. Watched the latest episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Very good, but I really didn’t pay as close attention as I should have.

I learned about the FBI raid on President Trump’s house when I checked Twitter that night. Lots of tweets from both sides. Then when I checked Facebook there was practically nothing on the seizure of documents. Interesting how social media works. So far the government has yet to raid my house. You used to only read of things like this happening in third world countries. At least the price of gas is coming down. Now its only twice as expensive as it was in late 2020.
