Top 9 Starters?

The MLB Network's "greatest" starting pitchers post-1947.

2. 1967-1986 311 3640 2.86 1.12 Tom Seaver

1. 1988-2009 303 4875 3.29 1.17 Randy Johnson

As usual, the MLB Network gets it wrong. No Bob Gibson?

 NA 1959-1975 251 3117 2.91 1.19 Bob Gibson

Had Kershaw not played in LA, he wouldn't be on this list.Had Pedro not played in Boston, he wouldn't be on this list. Had Nolan Ryan stayed in NYC, he'd be much higher ranked. Johnson and Seaver belong on the list, but perhaps not quite so high.

Players with retired uniform prime numbers of players not in the Hall of Fame.

This morning I talked myself into going to the gym. Went downstairs, gathered all my stuff. Tied my left shoe. Was finishing tying my right show when the stabbing pain came back to me back. I went back to bed.

The other movie I watched last night was "American Underdog" about Rams QB Kurt Warner.

Last night I worked past 6 pm. Had to go to WalMart on Mansell to get a present for Shivonne. At home I unearthed Ceil's leftover sandwich from Panera. Watched Jeopardy and two movies: Four Christmases, with Reese Witherspoon. I'm forgetting the other movie.

Listening to the Pulitzer Prize winning novel "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr, set in WW2 Europe.

Today was the last day that I have to work 8-5. After that I am more flexible.

Tonight we're supposed to meet two couples to eat at Fresh To Order. Not my favorite place.

Tomorrow I hope to play golf, then maybe work a few hours. GT plays at 630. Saturday AM golf, work a few hours, then bowl games at home. Sunday AM church, then watch football. Probably clean the house. Monday Christmas with family.

Friday Dec 29 Clemson plays at noon. Saturday Dec 30 UGA plays at 4 pm.

Denison on 49ers QB Brock Purdy, the probable NFL MVP.
