Decided to see how Tech's top 2017 recruit was panning out. Pressley Harbin has been rated by some as top the punter in the country. Last year he averaged 44 yards per punt and was named to the ACC all-freshman team, though it appeared Tech coaches monkeyed with his style, trying to turn him into a rugby-style punter.
With quality punters dotting the rosters of so many schools across the country, Harbin's 45 yard average ranks him a respectable 20th in the nation. Looks like he wasn't immune to the freshman fifteen - weight he could scarcely afford to gain. Doesn't look like the extra weight has effected his punting.
UGA freshman Jake Camarda's 42.1 yard average is nothing to sneeze at, either. He too has been inconsistent, and many expect Jake to improve with time.
