This afternoon the Braves clinched the NL East championship. This after Sports Illustrated (and most all of the other experts) predicted Atlanta would finish near the botton of the standing. They was wrong.
Incredibly, some of the players went outside SunTrust Park
to frolic with the fans in the fountains at The Battery.
Big sports day in Atlanta. In addition to the Braves,
at East Lake Tiger Woods held his lead in the Tour Championship.
At Grant Field #3 Clemson throttled woeful Georgia Tech.
Georgia State lost to Western Michigan at Turner Field.
At Mercedes Benz Stadium, Atlanta United hosted a match.
And Kennesaw State put up 70 points on visiting Clark Atlanta.
