Predictions: UGA

Clemson is going for the repeat. Bama wants revenge. The Sooners seem stacked. Texas seeks to build on their Sugar Bowl win. What about the Georgia Bulldogs? An experienced, level-headed QB. Reads defenses better than anyone in the nation. Cool in the pocket, can quickly hit his third receiver without panicking. Can check off to the right play. Says here this could be their season.
Aug 31 at Vanderbilt: Win. Dawgs played it safe and still dominated 30-6. 1-0.

Sept 7 vs Murray State: Win. Will Zeus break loose? The backup QB’s need to play. Just don’t expect the Dawgs to score 40 in the first quarter. Or half. 2-0.

Sept 14 vs Arkansas State: Win. Same as the previous week. 3-0.

Sept 21 vs Notre Dame: Win. Tough game. More visiting fans than usual at Sanford Stadium, but the Dawg fans will drown them out. UGA will need a complete performance from offense, defense, and special teams. No mistakes wins the day. 4-0.

Oct 5 at Tennessee: Win. Not Tennessee’s year. 5-0.

Oct 12 vs South Carolina: Win. Not South Carolina’s year. 6-0.

Oct 19 vs Kentucky: Win. The Wildcats rarely but up a fight between the hedges. 7-0.

Nov 2 vs Florida in Jacksonville: Win. The Gators will come to play. A relatively close game. 8-0.

Nov 9 vs Missouri: Win. New coach and QB for Mizzou. Won’t be enough. The Dawg D will frustrate QB Kelly Bryant. 9-0.

Nov 16 at Auburn: Win. Tough road game. Auburn is improved, but still has a ways to go. Kirby makes sure of this win. 10-0.

Nov 23 vs Texas A&M: Win. Dawgs are used to tough games by now. Dual threat A&M QB Kellen Mond provides headaches, which will be good training for the next three games against Tech, Tua, and Jalen. 11-0.

Nov 30 at Georgia Tech: Win. Like at Vandy, Grant Field will be mostly red and black, though the fans will be saving their pennies for the postseason. Lots of empty seats as well as the Jackets finish out their long losing season on Thanksgiving weekend. Thank Ma Tech for international students stuck at school. Kirby empties the bench. 12-0.

Dec 2 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta vs. Alabama: Win. Third time is the charm. Underdawgs break the Tide. Won’t be easy, but Saban’s playoff run ends. 13-0.

Dec 28 College Football Playoff Semifinal vs. Oklahoma: Win. The road to the national championship ain’t easy. The Sooners will be formidable. But Jalen’s storybook college career comes to an end against Georgia. 14-0.

Jan 6 College Football Playoff Championship Game in New Orleans vs. Clemson: Lose. Dawgs are on a roll. Will Clemson’s comparatively soft schedule finally do them in? No. The nation’s longest winning streak rolls on. After the game Jake Fromm announces he will return for his senior season. RB Swift does the same. 14-1.
