This Day in History

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of our state championship. Did you see the AJC article about the high school football playoff delay due to the protest, likening it to the Lakeside / Douglass protest from 50 years ago? It was in the paper on Dec 10 or 11. The article quoted my coach and QB, since the protest delayed our state championship game a week.

Nick Saban is living his best life. He deserves it. I’ll share this NHL thing with the tubing lady who sits next to me – she’s a NHL fan.

Thursday: stayed up to watch the Rams@Seahawks. Seattle had an amazing comeback. Everything went their way. Punt return TD. Interception by a Ram lineman who had dropped back into coverage. Another interception run back to the one yard line. The Rams kicker hadn’t missed all season. Even made a field goal when the snap was high. The kicker had already stepped toward the ball, so he had to just swing his leg to kick the ball. He made it. But later he missed a game winning field goal. Then an incomplete Seattle pass on a 2 point conversion was ruled a backwards pass fumble that bounced into the end zone. Since a Seahawk just happened to pick up the ball off the turf, it was ruled a score. Crazy. Then I realized it was after 11 pm, and went to bed.

Supper Thursday night: baked chicken, green beans, rice pilaf, and tomatoes. Stayed away from desserts due to my stomach. Friday night Ceil had a birthday party. I ran errands on the way home.

Burger King should post a warming on their commercials: “Objects may appear larger than actual”.

Article: Fulton County admits to illegally certifying 315,000 ballots in the 2020 Presidential election. Biden won Georgia by 11,,000 votes. Another study found 20% of all mail-in voters admitted to committing election fraud.

Praying for people in my life. Some leave a trail of broken relationships in their wake. Such hatred. Such a hard heart. Some claim to be a Christian, but bear no fruit. Quite the opposite. No one was ever led to Jesus through an argument. Matthew 7:23.

In contrast, my dear Christian brother Dan received discouraging results from a blood test yesterday. His response? God is good. Indeed.
