Saturday: turned on ESPN College GameDay, then NCState @ Clemson. State scored on the last play of the game, making their 56-35 loss to Clemson a little more respectable.
Flipped around to Louisiana Monroe at Texas to see Arch Manning's first start. Two TD's and 2 interceptions in his first half. A better debut than Archie and Peyton, not quite as good as Eli.
Mizzou escaped with an overtime win over Vandy. Georgia Southern only trailed Ole Miss 21-7 at the half.
I got to watch most of the first half of GT / Louisville. I love GT QB H King, but his last second pitch while surrounded by defenders resulted in a Cardinal TD. I had to follow the rest of the game on my phone. Heard GT played well, but made a few more mistakes that led to the Louisville win.
Tech's horrendous navy pants actually contrasted nicely with Louisville's red jerseys. Nice Cardinals helmets, though you couldn't see the nice logo well on TV. Both Louisville and NC State wear ugly nondescript adidas uniforms. Even Tech's unis looked better in comparison.
Tennessee easily handled Oklahoma. UGA has one of the toughest schedules in the country, playing highly ranked Bama, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, & Clemson. Some think the Dawgs weren't showing their full offense and defense last week in Kentucky.
Nick Saban blasted both Florida and FSU. The Noles finally posted a win this past Saturday, edging Cal 14-9, as did the Gators, who beat up on even lowlier Miss State.
Young Dylan Raiola is receiving backlash for his continued imitations of his idol Pat Mahomes.
Sunday: turned on the Eagles@Saints then Ravens @ Cowboys, but I paid little attention.
Watch much of the Falcons? I saw the first half. Sounds like they were competitive. Some think KC TE Travis Kelce is out of shape. What did he do during the offseason?
Sounds like the Chiefs benefitted from several favorable calls. Ya think?
Major leaguers who played for all three major league avian teams: The Baltimore Orioles, the St Louis Cardinals, and the Toronto Blue Jays:

Jihadists slit throats of 26 Christians during worship service. I don’t want to offend anyone by calling these killers “radical” so I left out that word.
Research shows a 'profound' link between dietary choices and brain health. Thank goodness Ceil cooks such healthy meals. Otherwise I’d be a goner.

Sunday: we attended the 8:30 service with our friends who are getting ready to depart for Spain. After Sunday School we stood around chatting for a long time, then we had to stop by Whole Foods. Almost ate at Pappasitos but for a miscommunication. Stir fry for lunch.
Took a nap, washed and folded several loads of laundry, and cut the grass. All that took until almost dark. C made pizza for supper.
Monday: was hurting from the weekend so I skipped the gym. Just heard that Ceil’s friend where we stayed in Jefferson just got over covid, so she can see her grandchildren again. No wonder I felt bad last week.
We never used to secure our house like we do now. We’ve changed to more secure double locks, and added security lights and cameras. The new windows are all more secure than the old ones. Plus Winnie barks whenever someone walks up, alerting all the neighbors. Both our next door neighbors practically live in their open garages, and they see everyone who comes and goes.
