And the greatest of all-time? Eight of the top QB’s from 2000-2009 made the list. Nine from 2010-2019. Six from 1990-1999, plus the 1989 Heisman winner. That’s 24 of the list of 30. Why not make the list from the last 30 years?
What about Archie Manning? He was better than over half the QB’s on this list. So was Eli. Or Steve Young, Teddy Bridgewater, Bernie Kosar, Sid Luckman, Otto Graham, Billy Lothridge, Davey O’Brien, Sammy Baugh, Angelo Bertelli, Les Horvath, Paul Hornung, Terry Baker, John Huarte, Gary Beban Pat Sullivan, Vinnie Testaverde, Babe Parilli, Don Meredith, Jerry Rhome, Joe Theismann, John Elway, Troy Aikman, Major Harris, Andrew Luck, Tua Tagovailoa, or Jalen Hurts. Even Gino Torretta was better than Eric Crouch.
Trevor Lawrence is clearly better than the great Deshaun Watson. Why isn’t Lawrence on the list? National Champion one year, runner-up the next. Lost two games in three years. I could go on and on. Of course these lists are published solely to generate debate and webclicks. They’re purposefully inaccurate. They did a good job with that part.
