How are your Masters picks doing? I saw one update where Charles Howell III was one of the very early early leaders.
Had Hot Stove Wednesday night – me and four other guys, in masks, socially distanced. On the long drive home it poured down rain, really bad. Could hardly see to drive. Went really slow home from Cumming on GA 400.
Thursday C had school in the morning so I did some work. Also laundry. Took out trash. Went for a run. Had the Masters rain delay on the TV. Packed, Showered. Had a work emergency I had to take care of. Was just finishing up when C arrived home. Packed the car, stopped by Chickfila, and was on the road by 1:30. A much later start than I’d hoped.
But we made good time. Drove to Spartanburg, where we stopped for gas. Got 31 MPG on the trip. Rain in Charlotte, when it finally got dark. Traffic was heavy on the two lanes, not as bad on the three lane parts. Made it not quite to Richmond before stopping again, for gas as a McDonalds hamburger. Arrived at out AirB&B in northwest Richmond around 10:45 pm.
Spent the day with father of the bride Myron, the retired FBI agent. Costco in the AM, Publix sandwiches for lunch. Later drove into Richmond to see his daughter, and pick up beverages for the wedding. Drove past the Richmond baseball stadium.
Lasagna tonight. Skeet shooting with the groomsmen Saturday morning. PM outdoors rehearsal dinner of pizza and salad tomorrow night. Sunday morning wedding prep, then the outdoor wedding and reception dinner in a big barn. Wedding party of about 45.
