Braves Cardinals

Sunday I picked up my retired friend Eddie and his buddies and went to the Braves game. When we arrived our legs were in the hot sun, but it wasn’t long before we were completely in the shade.

Now the Braves are missing three starters plus their top two starting pitchers. It’s Snitker’s fault.

I heard that on Saturday there were TWO sacrifice bunts – with one contributing to the Braves scoring the winning run in extra innings. First time there were two sacrifices in the same game in years. Must've been the Cardinals' first base coach's (aka "Stubby") hard to see red bedazzled shoes.

I wouldn’t have picked Xander #1 in a 10+10 but probably in my top five. I didn’t get to watch much of the British Open yesterday.

What did I tell you about South Sudan ??? And too bad the USA can’t send two women’s teams to the Olympics. Speaking of, I am less interested in these Olympics than ever before. Might watch the opening ceremony and see if the stories are about the athletes and their sport, of just more of the woke agenda the networks like NBA continuously feeds us.

Felt so bad on Friday I went home. Took a long nap and later watched movies.

Chilled out on Saturday as well. Slept late then took a long hot bath, my first in a few years. Decided to cash in my free Ruby Tuesday salad bar deal, so while I was out I stopped by two thrit stores, and grabbed my free RaceTrac drink and free nacho fries. Watched four movies:

1. Sam & Kate, starring Dustin Hoffman & Sissy Spacek and their son & daughter respectively. Filmed in Thomasville GA.

2. Quiz Lady, with supporting actors Will Ferrell and PeeWee Herman.

3. Find Me Falling, with Harry Connick Jr.

4. I also re-watched the 2011 movie The Adjustment Bureau, starring Matt Damon & Emily Blunt.

Yesterday after I got home from the ball game and after I walked Winnie, I mowed the lawn. Wanted to take it easy but figured I better knock that out with all the rain in the forecast. Got 8000+ steps in for the day, over 3-1/2 miles.

On Saturday and Sunday I started re-watching his second sitcom “Newhart”. Laugh out loud funny. Tonight CBS is airing a retrospective honoring Bob Newhart.

Feeling better this morning. Had physical therapy at 7 am. Facetimed with Shivonne. She had made a comfy bed on the floor.

So much happening in Washington that’s hard to keep track. Biden dropped out. Clintons backing their puppet Kamala. Obamas looking for alternatives. Is Biden still alive? Is this a real life version of the classic movie “Dave”? Is Kamala chanting Marxist / Luciferian incantations? Lord Jesus we need your help.

Mr. Biden earned his party’s nomination through their electoral process. Those who pressured him to step down had no formal or legal power to remove him from the ticket. We could view their actions as unfair to him, to the delegates elected to nominate him, and to the larger process.
