First Bite: Lloyd's Pizza

Saturday night we ate with Anna & Caleb and Matthew, east of downtown at Lloyd's Pizza on Dekalb Ave, not far from Krog Street. Our niece Jordan and her husband Ted had come to town to visit with Anna. Good pizza, some say the best in town.

Lloyd's is in the same little shopping center as the bakery where M used to work: Hell Yeah Gluten Free. Just up from the infamous Krog Street tunnel.

Friday night we could've met A&C and Jordan & Ted to eat at Taqueria, but J&T didn't arrive from SC until 830. C hadn't felt like going out anyway.

Leftover spaghetti for supper. Watched a Hallmark Channel movie, and a little football.

I played golf early Saturday morning.

After golf I met up with Matthew before he started work at 9 am. He'd had a flat tire that he'd planned on getting fixed on Monday, but I volunteered to do it for him. Might've been a mistake. C reminded me that I'd promised to pick up a box of produce at the Sandy Springs pop up farmers market, which closed at noon.

I didn't want to drive on the interstate on the little donut tire, so I took Clairmont from downtown Decatur, made a left on North Druid Hills which turned into Roxboro and then Wieuca, then right on Roswell Road. Two turns from Decatur to Sandy Springs. Picked up the produce and took it home. C was having breakfast with Becky Norman at Bellwood Coffee.

Then I drove over to Tire Deals. The OPEN sign was lit, but no one was there. Great. Retraced my path and dropped the car at Firestone. Walked the 2.6 miles home, in the hot sun - wearing my Crocs...not exactly good walking shoes.

Made it home just in time for the UGA/Clemson game. Picked up the car at halftime. Came back home and fell asleep during the second half.

Made it home from pizza in time to watch the second half of GT / Georgia State game.

Got 9-1/2 hours of sleep. Sunday School and worship. Stopped by Publix on the way home, so we didn't eat lunch until like 2 pm. Quesadillas. Then watched the Tour Championship, but nodded off and took another long nap.

Watched some Braves Phillies, as well as USC@LSU. C fixed breakfast for supper.

Took almost 13000 steps on Saturday. Took even more on Monday. Up early to play golf. Just missed an eagle on my approach on the 8th hole.

Stopped by RaceTrac and Goodwill on the way home. Had a leftover Chickfila biscuit for breakfast and chicken quesadillas for lunch. C went shopping with a friend. I drove up past Windward Parkway to get a free carwash. Last week's storm had covered our driveway with sticks and pine cones, so I cleared those off and mowed the lawn. With so much debris, I used the grasscatcher for the first time.

Burgers and fries for supper, since it was a holiday. Watched a Hallmark Channel movie.

Tuesday: up early to work out at the gym. In our small group we're supposed to take turns facilitating (leading), but it's not a task that I am looking forward to. Speaking of, we had small group tonight. Six guys: two Johns, two Dans, and two Daves.

If I'm going to get restaurant food, I want to eat it while it's hot. Loses something to eat out of a Styrofoam container.

Interesting article: a NASA spacecraft's planned collision with an asteroid may have created a meteor shower that will last for 100 years. But those meteor showers won't start for 20-30 years.
