28 Degrees of Candler Park

The vet coerced me into playing golf in the 28 degree weather. No clouds in the sky so at least it was a sunny morning. The five layers of shirts probably didn't help, especially the heavy hoody top layer. But I got off to a decent start.
1. Two flubbed tee shots, though one made the fairway. Hit an okay hybrid just short of the green, in the same place I had a good chip from on Wednesday. I did it again: a good chip on my first try. Decent lag putt. Bogey.
2. Tee box had been moved back, but I hit my 3 wood to 12 feet (yes, I stepped it off). Missed the birdie putt.
3. Hit a worm burner that got a decent roll. Mulligan was better but far left. Several cruddy chips. "Snowman".
4. Changed up and hit 5 iron off the tee. Wait, that was on the third hole. Anyway my tee shot landed on the green. Hit two putts too short. Bogey.
5. Okay tee shot, short and right. Good chip onto the green. Par putt just missed. Bogey.
6. Flubbed the tee shot, but it got a decent roll. Flubbed a hybrid. Flubbed several 7 irons. All of a sudden I couldn't hit anything well. Finally chipped onto the green. Two putt.
7. My troubles followed me across the creek. Two cruddy tee shots. Flubbed one 5 iron but hit a decent mulligan. Thought I hit a good 5 iron but never found it. Made a couple of "fair" chips. Call it another snowman.
8. Okay drive. It got a good roll, anyway. Seven iron didn't look great but settled on the fringe. Did I two putt for par? No, bogey.
9. Drive didn't go as far as I would've liked. They never do. Decent 9 iron to just short of the green. A great lag putt, inches from going in. Bogey on a tough, uphill par three.

Recap: lost two balls (I think), on 7 and 9. Found one on six. Once we got going, the cold wasn't too bothersome - though wearing so many layers probably didn't help my game. Wore a stocking cap and a gator, covered my nose and mouth. Wore the thinner athletic gloves. Not sure where my cold weather golf gloves are.

BREAKING:
Lunch with the guys at a Thai place on Lower Roswell, Red Curry. Got the sweet and sour chicken. More authentic than at a Chinese restaurant. Not deep fried. Rob, Lee, and Shawn.

Then I watched Tiger and folded clothes.
