Tech Loses Again

GT: the sports talk radio guys are really blasting Pastner – but they said GT’s assistant basketball coaches are vastly under paid compare to other schools. A good chance Pastner is fired at the end of the year. Saw one yahoo on social media say that GT had great recruits coming in, and will be a force to reckon with in a year or two. Not sure where they are getting that, considering usually if a good freshman or two comes in they usually can make a difference, an immediate impact.

Seems like players don’t care as much as they used to. Especially on losing teams. They’re only in it for themselves, looking around for a different team to go play on next season. Shoot, UGA wins two straight national championships, and some players are jumping ship instead of sticking around to help win a third straight.

C and I ate at Pappasitos last night. Chicken fajitas. Very good. The parking lot there is always crowded. I did good last night to drive past the front door, and found a good spot nearby. Someone was celebrating a birthday last night at Pappasitos, and had brought big balloons and presents. Unlike some other restauants we eat at in Roswell and Alpharetta and even Buckhead and Atlanta, Pappasitos gets a quite diverse clientel considering how expensive it is. People wear all manner of outfits, unlike some placed like Houstons which tries to adhere to a decent dress code. After my AM run yesterday I wore my shorts all day (over tights) but changed to long black warmup pants for the meal.

I’m wearing a cap more these days, in the winter for the cold and in summer for shade from the sun. In the past I wasn’t good about keeping caps handy in the car, but have been doing a better job lately. Some guys I know where derbys and one coworker a wool fedora. He is literally the only person I’ve ever seen wearing a fedora in the last 40 years, and my coworker is younger than me. But I am quite content to wear a ball cap, most usually a Braves or Stripers in navy or black.

In a meeting until like 2 pm. With 24 vendors. Jason’s Deli for lunch.

I’m slightly sick. A little bit of a sore throat and a little achy. First time I’ve been sick since before covid. M had been sick last week, and now C isn’t feeling that great. I skipped the gym this morning to get some extra rest. Felt a little better as I got into the day. Glad I didn’t have to give a long walking tour out in the cold.

Apple fritters this morning were brought in to the office.

A&C are came over tonight for homemade pizza. M joined us.

Another work lunch meeting tomorrow. Willys Mexican. I’ll make a salad.

Friday night I’m attending a Jim Gaffigan comedy show at the Cobb Energy Center.

Coworker Rachel has this app where she fits together a one-two second video every day for a year. One second a day. Now she has Angie doing it. A fun creative project, but I already have enough irons in the fire – don’t I, dear blog?

According to coworker Crazy John, here’s how we look for lost material in our plant:
