Here's more info on our East Cobb BBQ spot, next to the Publix at the corner of Marietta's Roswell Road and East Piedmont. Perhaps five miles west of the Stinky Kroger. The critic happened to come in and sit at a table next to Bryant Wright (coincidently or not!).
Yesterday after church I "cooked" my lunch: pulling all the leftover baked chicken meat off the bone, and baking it with the leftover potatoes in the oven with cheese, and toasting buns and making chicken sandwiches with cheese and BBQ sauce. Never got to eat the leftover BBQ, so I put that back in the freezer.
Last night the ladies brought back FFC chicken and tenders, Pizza Hut, and Subway. Also leftover chicken tetrazini. Had leftovers for lunch today.
Guess we'll be watching the runup to the PGA this week. My "desk" has a view of the TV.
Had on the Mavs / Suns blowout last night.
This AM we have a row of workers at the house. Me, Anna, MC remotely working here at the house. Matthew cooked a traditional family breakfast of eggs, bacon grits and potatoes.
Saw the Tom Hanks Mr. Rogers movie. Highly recommended. Several articles on the backstory, and aftermath thereof.
We had on the Cardinals game but I think Will flipped over to Mavs Suns. Would've liked to have seen Pujols pitch.
Next Sunday after church they're having a big thing for kids at JFBC. Bouncy houses, etc. but only hot dogs.
Only Murders in the Building Takes a Ride to the Top.
LARRY DIERKER [B-R Bio] is the most recent major leaguer to debut at age 17, for the Colt 45s on 22-Sep-1964. (He turned 18 that day, but had been on the roster earlier at 17). In the first inning of his first game, he struck out Willie Howard Mays (Jr). who was named for his father who in turn was named for President William Howard Taft. Dierker was a very recent alum of William Howard Taft HS in Woodland Hills, California. While managing the Astros, Dierker collapsed with grand mal seizure during the game on 13-Jun-1999. Bench coach Matt Galante guided the team until Dierker's return 23-Jul.
