Bad News

I tried to have as restful Sunday as possible. Watched Saints@Falcons and Jags@Texans, then Bills@Eagles then a Hallmark movie and Peyton's Places. Went to bed early but had a hard time sleeping. Apprehensive about work.

Friday night I have an evil dream, about a young lady getting kidnapped, with evil people doing terrible things to her. Demonic. I woke up and prayed that such thoughts be cast out of my head.

Monday: up early to run at the gym this morning. Looks like it will be a chilly week weather wise. I have no plans that I know of, except work.

Man I am having a tough week. Worked well past 6 pm last night. Traffic wasn't bad on the way home. Ate leftover chili for supper. But not as tough as some people. You think you got it rough, when so many have it so much worse off than you can imagine.

Spoke to an old college friend on the way home. Learned our friend Mary from the Tech BSU just learned she has cancer, bad. Mary was like a big sister to me. Never married. Retired a few years ago from engineering, and went to work for the Southern Baptist Emergency Response team, who travels to hard hit disaster areas, like after hurricanes hit. She lives in Athens and was active in her church, where it sounds like she has plenty of support. Sad news.

Last night C has at her women's ministry, which she says is getting rough. Tonight she has small group.

Up early again to run at the gym. The SAP trainers scheduled me for an 8 am meeting this morning. We were working on a big problem when someone from another department barged in and took up the trainer's time for 30 minutes, getting help to enter orders to be pushed in ahead of my orders. Left me just sitting there with nothing to do. Extremely rude. Then she started talking about the weather. I said "Are you finished yet?"

I'm just falling further and further behind. Coworker evidently is working from home this week. Things that used to take 5 minutes now take hours. Something that happened in a day now takes over a week. Ugh.

Since covid the United Nations has been working not to promote peace, but more as a one world governing body seeking to dictate policy to sovereign nations – like saying the West needs to eat less meat.

Chinese scientists claim they have discovered a new bat coronavirus linked to pangolins that has same "freak mutation" as Covid. Interesting that this "discovery" is taking place at the exact same time in the US election cycle as the 2019-2020 covid outbreak.

Dovetailing from the two above articles, a third article: pandemics are a catalyst for the coming New World Order.

BABE RUTH [SABR Bio] is the only player who pitched more than a thousand major league innings with a lifetime batting average over .300. Career IP = 1,221⅓. BA = .342. Ruth visited Japan in a 1934 exhibition tournament. His career guaranteed his warm greeting in baseball-mad Japan. In six separate seasons, his annual salary with NYY was $52,000 -  which he liked because it meant that he was making $1,000 a week all year.
