Braves fantasy camp is this week. Maybe one day, but five grand is steep.
Worked late again this evening, past 6:30. Lots going on. Homemade pizza for supper.
Got big plans for the weekend ???
MATTY ALOU [SABR Bio] was the first native of the Dominican Republic to win a batting title in the majors. In 1966 Alou hit .342 for PIT and led the majors. He was the only player to steal a base against the Cincinnati Reds in the 1972 World Series. In the 8th inning of G 2 of the 1972 WS, Alou stole second off Tom Hall & Johnny Bench. He might have scored the tying run from first base in the ninth inning of game seven on Willie Mays’s double of the 1962 World Series. Third base coach Whitely Lockman went by the conservative “book” and held Alou at third. McCovey lined out and the game ended 1-,0 and the Series ended NYY 4-SFG 3.
Winnie has been hanging out in her crate more often on her own lately.
