Shivonne enjoyed her first championship parade.
Had at least eight visitors playing in the snow in our backyard this afternoon. More photos below.
The center lines up, grabs hold of the ball, and moves it backwards a few inches. A defender lines up on the ball, then gets penalized for being in the neutral zone. Why?
One good thing about watching games with the sound down is you don't have to hear Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. If announcers had nit picked every single play of his, like Aikman does to the QB's he's announcing, Troy would've never made the PFHOF.
Who is the better NFL QB: Jalen Hurts or Tim Tebow? Not many making this comparison, except maybe the Eagles fans watching Hurts play every game.
Friday supper at Taqueria with the Whitakers. As we were leaving we ran into the Hollingsworths. Doc's sister Hillary made such a big deal about seeing me. She wants me to go up and visit her dad in SC. I didn't know where C went. I saw her going out the door but couldn't find her. She was standing in front of the menu signs, which blocked the view out the window.
I didn't realize C was waiting outside on Anna and her friend Caleb to arrive. Doc and his crowd got to meet them. Then George came out to talk to Doc, and I told George above how I used to work with Doc's dad.
Then C and I went to the bar where Anna and Caleb were sitting. The parents of Victoria Taylor were also eating at the bar, but I didn't know them well enough to say hello.
Golf on Saturday morning with the two other regular early birds. Wasn't that cold - 37 degrees when we teed off at 7:30. For the most part I hit one Callaway ball all nine holes. I had pulled up as Anthony was pulling his clubs out of his truck.
1. Teed off with my three wood, not terrible for a first swing. But my next few shots were terrible. Finally a 7 iron close. Got a chip up in the air but over the green, onto the second hole's tee box. I stayed there.
2. Decent tee shot, just not as far as I would've like. Another bad chip, then got one onto the far right side of the green. Then the shot of the day: I sank the long putt.
3. Poor tee shot. Anthony and Robert had hit their tee balls down left of the green. That's were my second shot went, almost hitting Robert. Robert's chip hit the bank and popped onto the green, a perfect shot. Anthony chipped over the green. So did I.
4. Worm-burner off the tee, that got a nice roll. Bad chip, then a worm burner left of the green. Decent putt but short.
5. I wanted to get the ball up in the air, so I teed it up high. Decent but short. Took two chips and two putts.
6. Decent 3 wood off tee. Okay second shot. Then to the left, then to the right. Almost hit Robert again. Anthony suggested Robert should stand in the hole. Chipped another over the green.
7. Decent tee shot. Poor fairway shots. Chipped over the green, but an okay chip back.
8. Worm burner tee shot got a good roll. Good second shot that sliced right. Good chip rolled to the other side of the green. Okay putt back.
9. Decent tee shot. Flubbed a five iron, then a real good 8 iron over the green, into the only sand trap on the course. Chipped out, but that rolled off the green. Called it a day. Finished at 9 am. Hope I didn't slow them down too much.
How many deer do you see?
What kind of thinker are you?
