Now the Braves have twelve straight wins, the longest streak in MLB this season. Ace on the hill tonight. Dansby did more damage last night, and more tonight. Bad that Albies broke his foot for eight weeks, but at least he’ll be fresh for the pennant race. Those feet can be problematic, but he is young.
A noted economist who studies a new stadium’s impact on local economies has determined that Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta is an economic win for Cobb County, adding thousands of jobs and pouring millions of tax dollars into county coffers and schools. Four Fortune 500 companies are moving into the development.
Some still complain. “The rich get richer”? Atlanta and Fulton County had their chance, but refused to give up their coveted parking lots. The Braves weren’t able to build their sterile shopping mall downtown – but Georgia State is building the exact same thing at the old Atlanta Stadium site.
Three of the guys who'd had covid were already back in the office today. I haven’t felt 100%, so I’m back taking all the vitamins I had been forgetting to take. Decided to take a day off from the gym and get an extra hour of sleep. Will try to go back tomorrow AM.
Ceil was on 285 this AM headed to see Shivonne when she had a flat tire. She got off at the next exit and called AAA. Anna had car trouble last night.
Last night M grilled chicken out back on the deck. Tasty. He also made some dirty nice, and grilled peaches and okra.
Not much else – just busy at work. Uncovered a humongo problem that I'll have to spend hours to fix. Left the office tonight at ten til seven. Not happy.
