Braves Nationals

Made an unplanned visit to Truist Park this evening.

It's been awhile since I've been able to snap photos of both relief cores headed to the bullpen.
Started out as a perfect evening for baseball.
Before the game Chase Elliott drove his car around the warning track. Just missed being in the photo below. I was talking to my friend Richard (far right, light blue shirt).

Adam Duvall hit a home run.

The ice cream tasted a little odd tonight.

Another good outing for max Fried.
Wasn't crazy about the white shoes.

The AJC writes that Charlie Morton and Max Fried are at their best at the right time for the Braves.

This year I’ve been to 13 Braves/Stripers games (and counting). Only bought three tickets. Didn't know I was going to tonight's game, but I had my rarely worn Braves camo cap in my car.

BOB UECKER  [SABR Bio] was the first major leaguer to host Saturday Night Live. SNL Season 10: Episode 2, 13-Oct-1984. Billy Martin and Derek Jeter are the other major leaguers who have hosted the show, now in its 47th season. Uecker was the only Milwaukee native to play for the Milwaukee Braves. Born 26-Jan-1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Played for the Braves in 1962- 63. The Braves’ domicile was Milwaukee 1953-65.

Note the finely crafted kids uniforms. George Brett was given credit for popularizing the term “The Mendoza Line” based on the gossamer-light career hitting of Mario MendozaMendoza’s career batting average was .215. Uecker ended his 6-year career with a batting average of exactly .200.
