Saw a list on social media: who were the greatest trios in NBA history? They left out two of the top trios (both Celtics) but listed the recent Celtics trio that won one championship. Typical social media: if it didn’t happen in the last 20 years, or in NY or LA, it didn’t happen.

More info on the Greg Maddux documentary that debuts August 25. It will be followed by the rebroadcast of one of his greatest pitching performances, a complete game. Now all those yahoos who never saw him pitch can see that he wasn’t getting hundreds of called strikes for pitches two feet outside the strike zone, like they keep claiming on social media.
Sunday: since the girls had runny noses we didn’t go to church. I played golf again and was terrible. I arrived at the course in the dark as usual, and there was a young dad already there. Said he’d never played Candler before, so I offered to play with him. It was evident he wanted to tee off as early as possible, which was fine with me. Only played one ball, for the most part.
1. Worm burner and shank off tee. I did make a nice long chip onto the green.
2. Lots of bad shots.
3. After hitting my tee shot right, down to the front of the 3 tee box, I did make a nice chip up toward the green.
4. Lots of bad shots.
5. Ditto.
6. Decent drive. Flub. Hit a low Worm burner that got an okay roll. Chip to fringe. Three putt for a triple.
7. Worm burner off tee. Lots of bad shots.
8. Socked a good drive. Wedge to the left fringe. Okay chip. Two putt for a bogey.
9. Decent hybrid up the hill. Flub. Low chip to back of green. Decent chip. Two putt. Triple.
Drove back to W&MC’s and hung out with the girls. Then we heard from friends from Sunday School that they wanted to pick up the living room sofa and chair, so I had to drive back to East Cobb again. After the pickup I watched some of the golf before driving back.
While I was gone C took the girls on a walk on the Atlanta Beltline, which runs behind W&MC’s house. While they were coming back, Winnie got loose and started running down the Beltline. Then Shivvy got loose and started chasing Winnie. Not good because bikes are always speeding past. Finally C got them all back.
Former coworker Bobby Wells passed away, from cancer. He was 70 years old. Survived by his wife Vicki, another former coworker.
