In both of the first two games announcer Ron Darling audibly gasped when Riley/Rosario knocked in the winning runs. What happened to being unbiased? Francoeur could barely get in a word with all of Darling’s gushing. I wish this afternoon Francoeur would point out all the empty seats at Dodger Stadium when the game begins, and remind the nation that Truist Park was packed for the Braves 1 pm and 5 pm games.
Left work yesterday shortly after 5 pm. Spaulding Drive runs from behind our plant and crosses over Peachtree Industrial. I took Spaulding all the way across Peachtree Parkway, across Holcomb Bridge (where I usually turn), across 400, across Roswell Road all the way to Johnson Ferry, then up to church for small group.Small groups I’ve been in. Over the years I’ve forgotten some of the people who’ve been in my groups. Was I in a group led by Fred O.?

Man another busy day. Barely holding my head over water.
Supplements/vitamins I take: baby aspirin, vitamin D, vitamin C, fish oil, calcium, garlic extract, cranberry, resveratrol. Some every day, others I alternate. Plus whatever Ceil has bought but doesn’t take any more. Sometimes we get free supplements from Whole Foods, that we can’t give to the women at The Table on Delk. Did I just list these not long ago?
Denison: Americans are more than seven times as likely to say local churches have been helpful during the pandemic than to say they've been harmful. Social distancing, volunteers' health status, and other factors made it harder for religious institutions to provide shelter, clothing, and food to those in need. According to the World Economic Forum, religion contributes about $1.2 trillion dollars of socio-economic value to the US economy. This is more than the global annual revenues of the world's top ten tech companies—including Apple, Amazon, and Google—and more than 50% larger than the global annual revenues of America's six largest oil and gas companies. David DeSteno, a psychology professor at Northeastern University in Boston, discovered in an experiment that people who prayed were far more likely to give up their seat in a crowded room to a person on crutches. In another study, those who were asked to count their blessings cheated much less at a game than the control group. "It seems like everything I've been discovering people have been using in religious tradition for years." He published How God Works: The Science Behind the Benefits of Religion. He shows that the rituals and practices of religion have measurable, empirical positive results.
CAP ANSON [SABR Bio] is the position player who played the most seasons in the major leagues. Anson had 27 MLB seasons, counting his first five years of service 1871-75 in the first “major league”, the National Association*. The NL began in 1876 and Anson played with their Chicago franchise from then until his retirement after the 1897 season. Nolan Ryan also played for 27 seasons in the Bigs. Anson led the National League in RBI for eight seasons, five times leading the majors. Anson led the Senior Circuit in RBI 1880 (74), 1881 (82), 1882 (83), 1884 (102), 1885 (108), 1886 (147), 1888 (84) & 1891 (120). Although he had more career hits than Honus Wagner of Carl Yastrzemski, he never hit in as many as twenty consecutive games. Amassed 3,435 hits, just ahead of the totals of either Wagner (3,420) or Yaz (3,419).
*Many respected baseball historians continue to contend that the National Association should not be considered a major league, citing lack of funding, an uncertain schedule and other issues. Here are some well-researched thoughts on the subject:
