Finishing up “The Barn: The Secret History of a Murder in Mississippi” by Wright Thompson. Traces the racist history of the state’s cotton farming communities from colonial times up to as well as the aftermath of the 1955 murder of 14 year old Emmett Till, which sparked the civil rights movement in America. The murder was Rosa Parks’ motivation to remain seated on the city bus in Montgomery. The barn is not far from where Archie Manning grew up in Drew, Mississippi.
Monday: left work around 525. I’d gone to Wendys for lunch: a chicken sandwich and ten nuggets for 2 bucks. Stopped by RaceTrac on the way home for my daily free drink. Beat C home. Supper was grilled chicken, cream cheese potatoes, and mixed vegetables.
Skipped the gym this morning since I will be on the go for the next 7 days. That's what I am telling myself, anyway. Not gonna look good in that red all star experience team t-shirt.

Ate at Red Robin this evening. Y’all might want to try it when you go to Cumming. It’s on the Hwy 141 exit just east of Ga 400. Not sure how the $10 deal turned into a $20+ bill. Happens every time at Red Robin. Thumbs down.
Season 2 of “Quarterback” on Netflix debuts today. Should be interesting to hear what Kirk Cousins has to say about his up & down season with the Falcons. Says he felt “a little bit misled” when the Falcons drafted QB Michael Phenix. Had he known that, he would’ve stayed in Minnesota.
