There was no Sunday School. C had a bunch to do to get ready for Sunday night. I cleaned upstairs, making the bed and putting away clothes and laundry. I helped Ceil plant some flowers, and cleared off the driveway. Made a run to the grocery, grabbed a free hot dog at RaceTrac on the way. C had cooked eggs and toast for breakfast. Ate leftover potato salad and orange chicken for lunch.
At 4 pm we drove downtown to pick up supper. We were routed to 285 west and then 20 east to avoid traffic on the downtown connector.
Pollo Primo is on Moreland Ave south of I-20. Matthew knows some guys there. One employee helped C carry the food out to the car. Three whole chickens, rice, beans, chips, salsa. Didn’t take long, but we had arrived just before a rush. Made it to W&MCs at 525, and M and A&C arrived shortly thereafter.
Had a nice dinner. A&C brought the drinks. C had made a Bavarian dessert with angel food cake and whipped cream, which the girls got on their noses. M had made more oatmeal cookie sandwiches, which spurred discussion of how they are what Nick Saban eats for breakfast every day.
Got home around 930, and I went to bed. Should’ve gone to the gym, but I am still sore from the Peachtree. Even with running the Peachtree, I gained weight over the weekend. Lots of eating.
Not sure what is going on in the WNBA. Seems like all I see are reports of fouls and fights, not great plays and who wins and loses. Saw one article describing Angel Reese as a “MVP candidate”.
