Today is National Sneakers Day. Question of the day was what was the first real sneakers you owned? For me it was the old suede Pro Keds, with the two stripes, like Pistol Pete used to wear.
I had the red pair, then when they wore out I'd get another color. Got navy and later the white, and even the gold. Saw Oglethorpe play Mercer in the Macon Coliseum, and all the Petrels were wearing the gold Pro Keds.

I made my first blog post just over 20 years ago, on September 4, 2005. Now I am only about 3500 pageviews away from 2 million. Sounds like a lot, and these days I am getting many more views than the early days, but still that's only an average of 8,333 per month. Coming up on 7100 different posts, pretty much every day for the past 15 years.
Left work yesterday and headed to small group. Stopped for a fast food supper at Wendys. TOOK WENDYS TEN MINUTES TO FIX MY CHICKEN SANDWICH – 600 seconds. Not much hustle. On my drive east I stopped for a RaceTrac drink and checked my phone – small group had been cancelled. Went home and hung out with Ceil. Up early this morning to go to the gym. Shivonne and Millie are spending the night with us tonight.
The Braves are having a sidewalk sale this weekend. Hopefully they'll have the big clearance sale in January.
