Party Time. Excellent.

Are you having your usual Super Bowl party? No one has invited us to a party. Oftentimes the Cho’s have a party. They’re the ones had all had the virus, but recovered without incident. My other friend Reid may pull something together at the last minute, but Ceil was with his wife Noelle and her other friends yesterday, and afterwards said no party was in the works.

Friday! Ready for the weekend and the Super Bowl. Also the Saturday night NFL Honors show, where the new Hall of Fame inductees will be announced and introduced. Steve Harvey returns as host. He’s okay, just not – wait for it - legendary.

I might’ve told you what Louie Giglio said heaven would be like. When Sid Bream slid in to home plate safely, winning the deciding NLCS game and vaulting the Braves to the World Series, the fans were cheering and screaming their hearts out in joy. Louie said heaven would be like that for all eternity. Hard to really know what heaven will be like, but like this Michael Youssef devotional says, it’s gonna be great. Why I’ve read a few of the books about people who had near death experiences (NDE’s). They went to a peaceful place with complete love and acceptance. A few non-Christians had a completely different experience, which was quite horrifying. Everyone had a completely different outlook on life after their NDE.

Denison: some think religious statements are opinion rather than truth. However, Paul noted clearly, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins” (1 Cor 15:17). The resurrection of Jesus is the factual and objective foundation upon which our faith stands. Furthermore, the larger Christian worldview rests on historical facts and objective evidence that stand the test of scrutiny. Whether the question is the existence of God, the existence and deity of Jesus, the trustworthiness of Scripture, or the veracity of miracles, the evidence is clear and compelling.

I worked late again yesterday. So much to do. Stopped by Dollar Tree on the way home. The clerk liked my fingerless arthritis gloves. Maybe that’s why Diane Keaton always wears gloves. Ceil stopped at Trader Joes for a Teriyaki Chicken dish, over Jasmine rice. Also peas & carrots and tossed salad.

Shailene Woodley & Aaron Rodgers Are Reportedly Dating. I had never heard of Miss Woodley, who like Rodgers grew up in California.

Joe Theismann cites "peer pressure" as one of reasons for wearing a single-bar facemask. He played for the Redskins with Billy Kilmer and Sonny Jurgenson, both single bar aficionados – as was I. Loved the old Lanier Poets single bar suspension helmet I found stashed away in the back of the equipment room. Wore it in practice. Still kick myself for not taking that bad boy home.

Don’t charge your cell phone battery overnight, says an article on Komando.com. Better to charge when you can cut off the charge at 99%. And don’t drain your battery completely to zero. Don’t leave your phone out in the sun, where it can overheat. Apps that drain your battery: Facebook, Google Maps, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp.
